Kelly came to both Oriental Medicine and Pilates while recovering from her own orthopedic injuries.
After graduating with honors from the University of Virginia, Kelly spent a year and half studying Pilates and body mechanics with teacher and mentor Carla Shifflett. She simultaneously completed her STOTT PILATES certification with Kimber McQueen in Richmond, VA.
In 2009, ready for a deeper understanding of human physiology, health, and healing, Kelly began her study of Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. She was drawn to the sophistication and organic lens in which Oriental Medicine views the human body and spirit.
Kelly finished her studies and training at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA, where she interned at UC Berkeley's Simpson Center working with the University's college athletes.
Kelly holds a Masters of Science of Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of California.
Kelly currently sees acupuncture and herbal clients at her private practice in Lafayette and works with Pilates clients at Optimum Pilates in Oakland.
