I came to both Oriental Medicine and Pilates while recovering from my own orthopedic injuries and their various complications. I became deeply interested in not only how we recover from trauma, injury and disease, but also in how sustained wellness, health and resiliency could be best cultivated.
After graduating with distinction from the University of Virginia, I studied Pilates and body mechanics while completing my STOTT PILATES certification in Richmond, Virginia.
In 2009, ready for a deeper understanding of human physiology and health, I began my study of Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. I was drawn to the sophistication and organic lens in which Oriental Medicine views the human body and spirit.
I finished my studies and training at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College in Berkeley, CA, where I interned at UC Berkeley's Simpson Center working with the University's college athletes.
Currently I am in private practice, seeing Pilates, acupuncture and herbal clients in Orinda, CA, while also offering remote herbal consultations / lifestyle counseling.
